About Pastor Joshua Luis Pereira
Pastor Joshua Luis Pereira is a husband, father, pastor, entrepreneur, and community leader whose life is centered on faith, purpose, and service. As Executive Pastor of Saving Grace Church, he brings leadership, vision, and structure to the operations and ministries of the church. Raised in a ministry family, Josh served from a young age in media, worship, and youth ministry—experiences that shaped his lifelong passion for developing leaders and strengthening the local church.
Although he once prepared for a career in the Marine Corps, Josh ultimately surrendered to God's call to ministry. He went on to earn degrees in Psychology, Criminal Justice, and Biblical Studies, and is currently pursuing Doctorates in Systematic Theology and Christian Counseling. These studies support his heart for pastoral counseling, discipleship, and guiding people through the complexities of real life with biblical truth and compassion.
With more than 20 years of ministry experience, Pastor Josh has led two generations of youth, walked with families through seasons of both joy and hardship, and continues to work closely with the leadership team to help guide Saving Grace Church forward. He serves alongside his father, Founding Pastor Floriano Pereira, and ministers with the support of his wife, Nancy, and their children, Hailey and Aiden, who are deeply woven into every part of the family's calling.
Beyond the church, Josh is actively involved in the Rhode Island community. He serves on the Board of the East Providence Area Chamber of Commerce, chairs the Young Professionals Group, and holds leadership roles in The Business League and the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs Rhode Island Bailliage. As the founder of The Pereira Group family of companies (OptiSolutions, Pereira Family Realty and Double Tap Academy), he brings the same integrity, excellence, and servant-leadership to the marketplace that he brings to ministry.
Through his Christian podcast, Temporary Insanity, Josh speaks candidly about the chaos and noise of modern life—offering biblical wisdom, transparency, and a touch of humor to remind listeners that even when life feels crazy, God's truth brings clarity, peace, and direction. His heart is to help people grow, heal, and follow Jesus with courage in a world that often feels upside down.
